The death of the skeletal muscle cells results in the release of a massive amount of muscle protein into the bloodstream. This flood of muscle protein in the blood leads to the deadliest of Crestor® side effects. The muscle protein becomes trapped in the kidneys, affecting the filtering process of the kidneys leading to possible, if not probable, kidney failure. Other related side effects include cardiac arrest resulting from potassium released from the damaged muscle cells.
